Kitchen Counter Idea This kitchen counter was designed with a specific brief in mind: to look good, but provide a functional, durable and long lasting space. The benchspace is a crucial consideration in building a kitchen. After all, this is where all the work happens! The countertop was integrated with careful consideration to the placement of the major kitchen appliances, for example the stovetops, the oven and the fridge. It was important that the benches provide a good sized workspace, and keep clutter to a minimum, a key problem with the original kitchen design. Final kitchen design used a black granite finish.
